All I need to do is make the new collar, remove the old messed-up collar and add the ribbons and bow. And ignore my mom's "you need to lose weight" thing she's on about again. Anyone else going to Animethon, how are yours coming along?

Storms, ick. We've been getting way too many. I'm beginning to hate them.

First of all, I would like to post a public notice that I have the right to say whatever the heck (rubbing it in) I want to. The expletives I wish to use are in my vocabulary for personal reasons, completely unrelated to the fact that none of them are dirty. The expletives I wish not to use are removed from my vocabulary not because I am "childish" or fear being "bad", but simply because it's not in my character to use them. Of course, this will be forgotten by tomorrow, but I had to say it.

Today was fun; however, it appears that my glamourbombing skills are rather lacking, or at least that I have a long way to go in the not-being-seen department. Again, afraid to ask about it. I really need to get over this phobia. Even Kokoro is implementing a system where you ask everybody who's on if they want to chat before you make the room. There's no WAY that I can do that!
Canada Day is pretty fun so far, even though it's just me and my family. Went down to Wascana Park to see everything that was going on and sob I left my purse in the car whyyyy I wanted mini-donuts. :((( However, I found another way to get dessert, for now I am the proud owner of...

A SNOW CONE MAKER

Even though my parents said it was a dumb idea. o/;; I like it and I will use it often. The store ran out of the cute little pink one, but I got another one and it works fine. It doesn't take much ice, actually o.o; Also got some nice syrup, the kind they put in Italian soda, instead of the kind that you can buy with the maker. Natural is healthy. Of course, though my vanilla snow cones taste great, it's hard to tell which part is covered when the syrup is clear. Knew I should have gotten strawberry.

Also, thisisarisa really needs to stop randomly disappearing after saying one or two things in AIM. Why did I forget to get a bus pass this month. *headwall* I can finally go to anime club, though, but I don't know if it's cancelled or if we get our clubroom back or what. Someone enlighten me. D: Either way, I need to celebrate my not being stuck answering phones at night.

Speaking of work, it's beginning to frustrate me how people take every excuse they can not to check what size they are. Apparently, they somehow think that waiting for three different sizes of everything, going through the trouble of trying them all on, taking them back and answering the returns questions for each one is more convenient than just getting the one they want.

*"Oh, you can never trust those things." That doesn't work anymore.)
*"I'm buying this for my daughter/son/mother who lives in Ontario/a nursing home/my basement." (Then ask what size they are. Or measure them. If it's a surprise, check their clothing tags. I'm sure you visit them, even if they do live in Ontario.)
*"What chart?" (Um, we made them more obvious this year... and they've always been easy to find. This is better than the other answers, though, since you can usually get them to check it once they find it.)
*"I just want to compare the colours." (That's why there are pictures. And yes, going off pictures works; we have flags showing up when the saturation on the picture was wrong, which is very rare, and I once ordered bedsheets to match a colour of paint on the wall based off the internet picture and got it perfectly.)
*"Am I not allowed to order two?"
What could go wrong when playing this ridiculously simple yet addictive game? Well, the minigames are addictive (I need those last few plushies!), and trial mode is fine, but story mode? It's a pain. Why, you ask? Because you have to play through all the filler!

Filler is boring. It is pointless. No one likes it. So why do we have to play through it? You'd think there'd be some "plot-only" option, or they'd label the fillers as "side stories" or something. No. You have to play through every episode in order. I guess they were trying to simulate the effect of watching the series, but shouldn't a game with a plot not get bogged down in pointless diversions that don't win you anything and are mandatory? Make them sidequests, I don't know.

I screencapped the speech bubble incomplete and didn't feel like going back to redo it, sorry. All the translations are mine, because I needed to keep in practice anyway.

Every episode is headed by a narration of what I assume to be the uninteresting parts. These cute little sprites that they reused for the plushies in the minigames (well, most of them; I can't seem to find a "fridge-rummaging Rina" plushie) tell you the episode's backstory and sometimes interact with one another.

I love this arguing sprite. They're sniping at each other for, like, five minutes for no reason.

Then it moves to visual novel style when it gets to the interesting part. The backgrounds tend to be screenshots, but sometimes they have larger character sprites in front of backdrops instead.

If the character's in the screenshot, they use speech bubbles. In the screenshot for this, it looks like Yuuri, dressed up as Lucia, is crushing her E-Pitch with her bare hands. Don't you love filler animation?

If you were interested enough to click, you probably know what gameplay looks like, but here it is anyway. You usually play as Lucia in group songs, but sometimes you're randomly Rina for no reason. THEN there's Aurora no Kaze ni Notte, pictured. It's the only song I let myself ruin my rhythm on to print-screen, because Caren cannot possibly sound worse if I play badly.

Sometimes they give you a break and just show the song being played without you. What's the point of that? It's usually with Kuro no Kyousokyoku ~concerto~, which makes some sense, since you shouldn't be playing the good guys and the bad guys at the same time, but here? It's with Yume no Sono Saki he. You should be able to do that song yourself! We've already done it what, ten times before now? But no, all you can do is watch.

Also, some of their timing is a bit off with the arrows, especially Mimi and Rina, and no one ever gets the coin reward that they should for their perfect rhythm points. Yes. I'm that bored. I want to play! I don't want to watch the game be played for me!

So why did I play Story Mode? Well, I thought maybe I could hear Return to the Sea and KODOU, the two songs that haven't been covered in regular gameplay. However, this was not to be. Return to the Sea has been cut completely, replaced by some generic wailing. Poor Sara. For a main villain, does she ever get shafted. And KODOU? That's gone too. See, this game doesn't cover the whole series. In fact, it cuts off at episode 39. That's right. This game ends with a filler.

And look what you get at the end. I thought you got a huge coin bonus, or you got to unlock new songs, or something else interesting. Nope. You just get Kaito telling you that you did a good job. Easy for him to say. He didn't have to slog through this!

So, that's Pichi Pichitto Live Start in story mode. Don't get me wrong, the rest of the game is great. Story mode, however, is a colossal waste of time. This has been a public service announcement. Now I'm off to spend my coins trying to get that Hair-brushing!Evil!Mermaid!Sara plush.
